There is a very interesting article written by Roni Caryn Rabin in New York Times entitled “Regimens: Eat Your Vegetables, but Not Too Many”.

Oftentimes in our desperate intention to live a healthy lifestyle, we likely to overdo it but we must understand the doing extremes are not really good at all in our body. Moderation is the key to a long term healthy way of life.

Diet and exercise must be done in moderation otherwise it will create a harmful effect to our body.

Why Do Your Overeat?

Do you always crave for sweets during the day? Do you always indulge in burgers and fries? Well, all of us are guilty of this one way or another, right? However, reading the article of Rachel Grumman entitled “The Real Reasons We Eat Too Much” is an eye-opener.

Grumman featured three factors which can be the causes as why we are eating too much. It is striking to know that lack of sleep can be one of these factors. Apparently when we are lack of sleep, some of our hormones that are responsible for our appetite get affected.

A Popcorn Movie Night? Beware

Who doesn’t like popcorn for a movie night? Indeed popcorn is a classic snack option when going out for movies and theatres, right? Popcorns can somehow feel light to our stomach but according to the “Popcorn’s Dark Secret”, an article in New York Times written by Karen Barrow, a tub of popcorn contains high calorie, salt and fats.
The nutritional values of the popcorns served at the three movie-theatres were reviewed. The result was very interesting though on the other hand very alarming. However, if you cannot resist going to a movie without a bucket of popcorn, then make sure to opt for unsalted popcorn and eating less quantity will be a big help.
